One of the most highly anticipated brand tie-ups for this year is the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Supreme. When Louis Vuitton’s designer Kim Jones revealed the collaboration between the two brands during the men’s fashion week last January, the buzz about the items cannot stop until its release.
Millennials, fashionistas, and celebrities keep their eye on the items which combine Louis Vuitton’s quality and the savvy street style of Supreme.
After its launch as a skate label back in 1994, Supreme mastered the art of using weekly products and different pop-ups to gain popularity. Its popularity reached different key cities of the world such as Tokyo, Paris, Beijing, Los Angeles, Miami, Seoul, Sydney, and London.
Although the two brands kept the launch date of the collaboration a secret, with giving only two hours notice to each city, people were able to queue from 2 AM outside Louis Vuitton’s London store in Strand.
The collection is composed of denim jackets, hoodies, tees, coats, and other clothing items. The collaboration also includes leather good and small accessories. There were only six types of bags released for the collection, and it includes backpacks, sling bags, duffel bags, and fanny packs.
There was also accessible goods release for the link such as key chains, pins, and pocket knives. The trunk and the skate case also gained the attention of people, especially socialites who have larger bank accounts. These items are made-to-order and have a price tag of $57,000 and $46,000 respectively.
Supreme x Louis Vuitton Collection
The collection also features Louis Vuitton’s new Monogram variation together with Supreme’s iconic Box logo. It also includes different fabrics from different garments such as camouflage jacquard, classic pale washed Japanese denim, and fit coupe, which appears in a cognac and chocolate color way similar to the 1896 classic Monogram canvas.
