Who would have thought that two amazing dancers are behind some of the music video choreographies of Travis Garland, J.Lewis and 2NE1?! They’re both Pinoys, by the way. Talk about dope!
Meet Shaun Evaristo and Keone Madrid.
In their home garage, Shaun started to come up with routines and get creative with dancing. He took up tap, jazz and hip hop classes in high school albeit being the only guy in those often. Around that time, he already knew that dance and choreography would be his thing. From San Francisco, he decided to bring his craft in Los Angeles. And since, Shaun has been making noise in the dance community. This guy has danced for names like Omarion and Vanessa Hudgens, aside from the K-pop stars; traveled all over America and Europe to hold workshops; founded the Movement Lifestyle, a company for choreography management.
Shaun has this to say to all the dance crazy out there— EXPLORE.
When not showing off his refined moves and swag, you can find Shaun snowboarding or skateboarding.. Ohh, and shopping!
Let’s turn to Keone now. He started dancing at 15 in San Diego, though he first loved basketball. He was blessed to be trained by great dancers like Rainen Paguio of Jabbawockeez. Choreo Cookies is his dance crew that has been sweeping attention from different competitions in California. Keone made up his mind to pursue a career in dance choreography after attending college for just 1 ½ years.
Like Shaun, he has been around places to teach and perform. Switzerland, UK, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, Finland and Poland are on the list. Include Seoul , where he got the chance to choreograph Se7en and Taeyang, who has been really big in the K-pop scene. Just recently, upcoming artist Jasmine Villegas gave a nod to Keone’s (and his wife’s) MV submission for her single “Hello”.
